NOT SURE WHAT THEY EARN BUT ESTIMATE ABOUT 100 USD PER DAY = COMMISSION FPR WHAT THEY SELL.
WHAT I DO KNOW HOWEVER IS THAT WATCHING THEM IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. HOW THEY STAY UNDERWATER SO LONG IS MIND BLOWING.
ON A RECENT VISIT TO SEAWORLD I WATCHED 3 DIVERS IN A SHORT SPACE OF TIME.
THE FIRST A GUY ABOYT 25 COLLECTED 3 PEARLS AND STAYED UNDERWATER FOR ABOUT 90 SECONDS. THE SECOND A YOUNG GIRL ABOUT 19 DID THE SAME AND WAS UNDER FOR ABOUT 2 MINUTES.
THE LAST one however was a japenese or chinese/thai girl. she wore a one piese black costume, white cap and goggles. before entering the water she spent about two minutes controlling her intake of breath and to show how fit she was performed about 100 press ups to get her body in shape. she then dived into the water and spent time at the glass windows waving at everyone. then she swam around and perfomed Ballet and synchronised movements some of which seemed impossible. e.g a handstand int he splits position half way down the pool. Eventually she collected some Pears and surfaced. According to the person commentating on her performance this was a regular occurence. she stayed underwater for over 5 minutes which everyone found astonishing. she has we are told once stayed under for nearly 7 minutes.
it was the most incredible site i have ever seen.
then upon surfacing she got out of the pool did another series of sit ups and press ups about 100 of each then went to get changed until her next performance later that day.
not sure what they eanr but they certainly deserve it.

rough
They can earn upwards of $30,000
Free divers risk the danger of drowning while underwater, especially in areas requiring divers to descend to extreme depths. All pearl divers risk encountering dangers under the water, including sharks and other sea life. Many Australian pearl divers perished during storms that claimed the pearling boats while the divers were still on the bottom. Beyond environmental hazards, pearl divers also have to cope with the "bends," a condition caused when rapid decompression from quick surface ascent causes nitrogen bubbles to form in the bloodstream.
They dive for pearl oysters or other objects.
they can hold their breath for a long time
they would sell them to the pearl buyers who would then sell them to the jewlery shops and others who wanted them
