Potatopak plates, bowls and trays are mainly Potato starch with all ingredients food grade, including the colours. After use, they can be composted, collected with any food scrap or organic collection service, used for pig food or in a worm farm. They are designed to replace plastic and paper disposable products in serve and eat or buffet situations like bbq's, fast-foods, events, seminars, functions, festivals, parties, businesses, catering and cafe takeaways. They have been used for weddings, balls and even full Christmas dinners. Convenience without guilt, saving on washing up, waste disposal and land fill costs and situations where hygiene is important. They are also used in hospitals as a disposable tray for carrying utensils, instruments and medications.

PotatoPak is a material similar to cardboard made from potato starch cellulose ,water and high pressure . The lack of chemicals used means its 100% biodegradable and can decompose within 4 weeks if added to a worm farm or compost pile . Its also non-toxic even edible and can be feed to pigs as pig food .

However PotatoPak isn't one big advantage instead it cannot be used to carry hot liquid's or raw meats as it speeds up decomposition but any containers carrying food have to have a chemical anti bacterial coating , Therefore the only way to make it safe is to add plastic coatings that then increases decomposing time .Until a non-toxic environmentally friendly coating is created that extends the life of PotatoPak it isn't a obvious choice that only provides positives .
