The time frame defined in the code applies ONLY to the psychotherapy portion of the visit. It doesn't matter how much time is spent on medical evaluation and management in a given day-- 5 minutes or 5 hours! If psychotherapy was provided for 20-30 minutes, then 90805 is the code to be used."
