It means that your actual cable running to your television is kinked, has noise, or is inferior to send the data in the cable itself. This is a problem for many people who buy homes with pre-wired outlets. Typically these outlets from the contractor are cheap! Very cheap because they want to D demand optimal cable for them to signal upstream and downstream to work properly. The less expensive cables do not have a weave which is around the coaxial. This metal weave is critical to moving data within the core, and if this is limited the movement of the data is slowed because of the limited wire in the cable itself.
"S0A00" is a basic message for Motorola boxes that basically means "One Moment Please this channel should be available shortly" like the old message used to say. Hope this helps, this is a direct answer from me, a CAE-IP at Comcast.
Another reason for the S0a00 code is if there is a problem with your receiver. For example, if you have a dual-tuner PVR and one of the tuners stops working, you will get this error code when using the non-working tuner. One easy way to test this is to use the "Swap" button on your remote (if it exists) to switch to the other tuner.
After calling Comcast, they said that there is an outage in service. Interestingly, we have some TVs which don't have converter boxes on them, and those TVs work fine, but still receive the limited number of channels with having a converter box as per usual. The Comcast representative told me they were working on the problem, and that service should be restored shortly.
Please update or clarify this answer with information you may have.
Your service has been cut off for overdue bill.
It means you haven't paid your cable bill in a while, so they put it on a hold. When you call, ask them what the minimum payment you can make to have it turned back on is.
TWC doesn't know what it is - they tell you they cant do anything then ask you to wait 4 days for a technician to come out- best thing to do is change cable providers
Check your connections between your cable box and your wall outlet. Make sure they are tight. I had that code on my TV on quite a few channels, with no DVR, and no TV Guide, and called Comcast and that's what they recommended, and it actually fixed the problem!
