A static IP address is one that doesn't change. Usually it's programmed directly into the computer or network device. Servers and routers almost always have static addresses.
A dynamic IP address is one that can change. Usually, a computer or network printer will ask for a dynamic IP address from the network when it starts up. If there is a DHCP server on the network, then it will provide the device that's starting up with a dynamic IP address.
The next time the device starts up, it might get a different IP address from the DHCP server.
By the way, "DHCP" stands for "Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol".

Static ip will not change even you refresh the Modem,But Dynamic Ip-address will change every time you reset the modem,So for website hosting you can use the static IP-address,For normal home use you can go for Dynamic Ip-address,You can check the Ip-address at here ip-details.com
A IP that changes in a time variable. So your IP might change every day, minute, hour, or any other variable.
Dynamic unless you pay extra for a static.
yes ....through your isp
A dedicated IP address may come in two forms, static or dynamic. A static address doesn't change, while a dynamic IP address will change. To find your Internet Protocol address, try using the "What is my IP Address" website.
Seems like you could use a free dynamic IP solution (like ZoneEdit) to give your server a constant name (even though it has a dynamic IP address), then run Bind on your server. Unfortunately, though, the top-level name servers probably cache the IP addresses of other name servers, so it might not work for a while after your IP address changes. Anybody know if this is the case?
A Dynamic Server serves up IP addresses to computers on a network. The purpose of the dynamic server is to protect the user's identity online. This is why it sends different IP addresses every time the user logs on.
Dynamic IP assignment means that your IP address can change.

The general difference between a static IP and dynamic IP is that a static IP is reserved and does not change. A dynamic IP on the other hand changes each time one logs on.
Absolutely. I have a dynamic IP, and I can get on servers just fine.
Just set the computer's IP Configuration settings to dynamic. That's it. Dynamic means that the IP Address is obtained automatically from a DHCP server.
its called a Dynamic IP address
Dynamic unless you pay extra for a static.
How can i configure ISA server 2004 when your Router has Dynamic IP Address?" First of all, routers come with static ips... (the default is usually 192.168.1.1). So I am going to assume you mean your internet ip is a dynamic ip. Now Im not an ISA expert, so I may be wrong... but ISA should work with a dynamic external IP. And lastly if you cant get it to work, a quick call to your ISP will get you a static IP.
Try http://www.tracemyip.org/ for your dynamic IP address. If you would like your static IP. If you are using Windows. Goto run, type CMD, press enter then type in ipconfig. You should find your static IP there.
Dynamic IP addresses are those which can change everytime one tries to connect to the internet whereas, Static IP addresses are those which stay fixed and do not change.
A dynamic IP address.
They probably would implement both depending on the clientelle. For large customers, dynamic addressing seems the best option.
