No.
Lortab "10" is generally referred to Hydrocodone 10mg's/Acetaminophen 500mg's.
Norco "10" is generally referred to as Hydrocodone 10mg's/Acetaminophen 325mg's.
Hydrocodone is the analgesic, or (aka) the main active pain reliever in both medications. Which is opiate based.
The Acetaminophen is Tylenol. A slight analgesic itself but is only a slight help for pain that requires Hydrocodone or above mixed.
The Apap is synergistic with the Hydrocodone in that it slightly thins the blood allowing for arguably better absorption combined with its own pain killing properties.
Some argue the Tylenol is added so abusers will annihilate their livers by over use. Which happens often,.. even with just Tylenol. As Tylenol is very Hepatoxic. But that is another argument/question.
So, with the Lortab you swallow 500mg's per pill/tablet - with the Norco 325mg's per pill tablet. (Of Tylenol) --- Per 10mg's of Hydrocodone ingested.
To err on the side of safety I would go with the lowest Tylenol content available.
They have the same opoid in them. So if its a 7.5 Vicodin then it will be the same strength. 7.5 dosages of vicodin are not as common, so at random the Norco 7.5mg/325mg will most likely be stronger than a random Vicodin pill which is usually 5mg/500mg.
loratab 10 has more hydrocodone and more Tylenol then the norco 7.5 hydorocodone and 325mg Tylenol.
ANOTHER ANSWERLORTAB AND NORCO are the same medication; they are differentbrand names for HYDROCODONE mixed with ACETAMINOPHEN (generic TYLENOL). It is a narcotic pain reliever. The FIRST number indicates the amount of the actual narcotic (hydrocodone) and the SECOND number indicates the amount ofacetaminophen. Lortab comes in 2.5/500 (2.5mg hydrocodone & 500mg acetaminophen); 5/500 (5mg hydroconone & 500mg acetaminophen); 7.5/500, and 10/500. The same idea with Norco; 5/325 (5mg hydrocodone & 325mg acetaminophen); 7.5/325 (7.5mg hydrocodone & 325mg acetaminophen). NOW> in your question you asked about Lortab 10 "TABLETS". If you meant 10/? tabs or 10 actual pills, it's two different amounts. Either way, Lortab would be stronger. 10 PILLS would obviously be a bit stronger! Hope this clarifies the whole numbers game!!! <<It depends on the person. Though, I would say Norco 10/325 = 10 mg hydrocodone and 325mg of acetaminophen.
If a person responded better to the acetaminophenthey should not be on any hydrocodone, IMO
The active ingredient in Lortab is hydrocodone. The active ingredient in Percocet is oxycodone. Oxycodone is stronger than hydrocodone.
lortab10 is stronger than 5. The second set of #s refer to the amount of acetaminophen
The Norco is a lortab. So it would be twice the strength of the Lortab 5.
Lortab 10 mg is stronger but taking two lortab 5's would be stronger for the fact that the two 5's would have 500mg more acetaminophen
Percocet 10-325 mg
owl
Absolutely not, you may actually get even less pain relief.
These are two completely different drugs, Norco's chemical name is hydrocodone Tylenol 3 is Codiene
Norco is a name brand it comes in 5/325 or 10/325 Percocet comes in the same but it is much stronger I have been on it for more then 3 yrs and have had just about all of them Ive found it works longer but for you it may be different you just need to find something that works best for you and not worry about if one is stronger then the other "Get something that works best for you!
norco 10 is the maximum dose of hydrocodone without tylenol the tylenol usually makes hydrocodone work a little better but doctors prescribe norco if someone has to take quite a bit cause too much tylenol is bad on kidneys anything over 2000mg a day. the stronger would be oxycodone or percocet.
i went to the pharmacy today requesting the yellow as I heard it worked faster the pharmacist went into a s peel about how people selling it on the street like the yellow was SO offended as I use it as prescribed for pain He then followed up with they have the same ingredients in them
Yes, Vicodin Hp is 10-660 and I think there are 10mg hydrocodone pills w/out acetaminophen,
its the same
yes
yes
Percocet comes in strengths of 2.5mg, 5mg, 7.5mg, and 10mg oxycocdone hydrochloride. Vicodin is 5mg hydrocodone. 5mg of oxycodone is the equivalent strength of 7.5mg of hydrocodone. Also, equivalent milligrams of oxycodone hydrochloride (Percocet) is slightly weaker than oxycodone (OxyContin). So, yes.
Norco is stronger. It has less hydro
it is combined with oxycodone in Percocet, Tylenol with Codeine (Number's 1-4) and with hydrocodone which is Vicodin or Norco.
