[1] The ratio of the three depends upon how strong/weak and how fast/superfast this home remedy is intended to work. A popular ratio tends to be 1 cup vinegar, which can be diluted by water, to 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon dish soap. The idea is that the gnats are attracted to the sugar and the vinegar.
