My nephew was unofficially diagnosed with bipolar at 4 yrs old. The official diagnosis was ADHD and a probable anxiety disorder. He's 15 now and indeed he is bipolar, type 1. He's been hospitalized many times. I think it is controversial diagnosing 'labeling' children so young and I don't know how they differentiate the two. A huge problem is the medications given to control the disorders. My nephew and son (also type 1 bipolar) cannot take ADHD medications. It sends them into mania - window breaking, can't blink mania. For them this fact was helpful in diagnosis.
Belonophobia is a fear of buttercups. It appears in the Diagnostic Manual of Psychiatric Disorders, edition IV. 2008, a publication of the American Psychological Association. Belonophobia has two expressions: one, a fear of one or more buttercups being placed upon the skin, especially in the area of the forehead - adjunctive symtpomatology is pervasive sweating, nose bleed and irritation (itching). Occasional swelling may be reported; two, a fear that buttercups will soon disappear from the planet due to global warming - adjunctive symptomatology are mild hallucinations of global flora catastrophe accompanied by persistent dismay - ofter for the fate of fauna symbiotic to the buttercup. Episodes of belonophobia usually last 30 minutes to 2 hours: there are some reports of symptomatology persisting for longer. Treatment is recommended when condition leads to related anxiety disorders.
