LAPD does not issue handguns. The officers are required to provide their own service pistols that must meet department standars.

The CIA does not have a standard issue handgun. This is because most agents do not see combat. the firearms they do issue are issued on a basis of preference of the operator and geography (meaning they are issued for a specific purpose). No standard firearms.

The standard issue handgun of the philippine army is the m1911a1 .45 acp. But nowadays most filipino soldiers are buying their own side-arms maybe because of shortages.

The Luger was a standard issue sidearm in WW1. The P-38 pistol replaced it in WW2.
I don't know about other countries, but in the U.S. the standard issue handgun is the Beretta M9 which is basically the same as a 92FS. Some units in the military such as the SEALs, use other guns...Sig 226, I believe.
