There are two terms that can mean farsightedness (blurry near vision and clear far vision). Hyperopia is farsightedness that can occur at any age. Young children often grow out of hyperopia. Presbyopia is farsightedness that occurs with aging, usually over age 40. Presbyopia also affects a larger number of people than does hyperopia.
