Advantages of second person point of view include creating a sense of immediacy and engagement with the reader. It can also make the reader feel more connected to the story. However, a disadvantage is that it can be challenging to sustain for longer pieces of writing and may feel limiting in terms of character development.

The advantages of third person are that the reader is able to relate more to any character they choose and see what all the characters are doing, and its easier to write, however, it does not allow the reader to properly relate to the main character and feel almost within the story with the uses of 'I' and 'me', making the reader feel like the story actually happened to them.

Third person can show thoughts and feelings in more than just the main character. It can also show things that that character might not know about. Third person point of view is also a way to step back from a very emotional story and give the reader a bit of distance.

When you're writing in first person, you can't write about anything that the narrator can see, hear or experience. You have to stay inside that person and show only their viewpoint of the world.
