The "Blue Book of Gun values' lists that firearm as being made in 1925. I assume they got their info. from Savage Arms Inc.
the value depends on its age and condition. 243 win is not the most desirable caliber, its what my dad (who is a retired gun dealer) called a " Pennsylvania deer rifle". find a gun dealer who works at a local shop. Not gander mountain, they want you to trade it in cheap so they can sell it and ask them what the insurance value is.
