that would be mid to late 1962
This is not a question
What do you want to know? They made the X-5 lightning in both a tube-fed, and a magazine rifle.

Ithaca produced this model between 1958 and 1964.
i seen an ad posted on eBay that show it costing $39.95 for the seven shot clip model and $49.95 for the 16 shot tubular model. (1960's?) http://cgi.eBay.com/60s-Vintage-X-5-Lightning-Gun-ad-Ithaca-Featherlight_W0QQitemZ230091770088QQihZ013QQcategoryZ37836QQcmdZViewItem
Follow the link below to the parts diagram from the Numrich Arms website.
The X-5 Lightning was the first rifle made by Ithaca. It is a semi-automatic .22 cal rim-fire, and was made between 1958 - 1964. They came with a clip that held either 7 or 12 shells, or a tubular magazine that held 16 rounds. The X-15 was an "improved" version made between 1964 - 1967, and only came with a clip.
the latest one i have seen was made in 1958 the latest one i have seen was made in 1958
It's driven out left to right using the appropriate roll pin punch. Bolt and its parts can be removed and receiver cleaned.
X-5 Lightning was made between 1958-1964. The X-15 was made between 1964-67. I don't have any information on the total number manufactured.
About $135-$150, depending on condition. Made 1958-1964. Two different models, with one a box magazine, one with tubular magazine.
I saw one for sale for $200.00. I bought mine new in 1965, 2 mags....7 round and 10 round. I wouldn't take $1000.00 for it. For me...it is still the straightest, most fun shooting gun I own.
