It depends on your level of experience, certifications, and the company you're working for. I worked at Macy's for a little over a year as an LP detective and I made $10 an hour. The Assistant LP Managers start at $28,000 a year which is roughly $13 an hour. The LP Manager makes between $30-35,000 a year. If you are wanting to pursue Loss Prevention, I strongly suggest going to work for Target Assets Protection. I left Macy's to go to Target to have a lot more responsibility, technology, and better pay.
