• You would have to shop around for 'Wedding Photographers' and each one charges differently depending on how popular they are. You should ask to see their portfolio (other wedding pictures) to see if you like the way the photographer takes the pictures. Depending on how many pictures you want you could pay anywhere from $600 up (isn't cheap.) The wedding photographer will take private pictures and also pictures at the church and it is up to you if you want them at the reception where more pictures will be take of the bride, groom and wedding party along with both sets of parents. If you are on a limited budget you could have a very few pictures taken at a wedding photographers studio which would include ... mother and daughter; bride with Maid of Honor and Bridesmaids and then ask others in the family to bring their cameras. If you know someone that is good at pictures then ask them to take the other pictures.

It greatly depends on what you are shooting.

If you are working as the main cameraman on a feature film or a commercial you can easily make over 1,000 dollars a day.

If you are working doing camera for broadcast sports event, talk show or music concert in a good market, you can make at least 500 dollars a day.

Remember that most cameramen are freelance and although the daily rates are decent, most have to pay for their own health insurance and other expenses.
