What is the baggage allowance for South African Airways international flights?
Different international routes have varying weight allowances which
should be checked before you fly. Generally, international baggage
allowance for South African Airways flights is as follows:
✈ First Class - 40kg ✈ Business Class - 30kg
✈ Economy Class - 20kg ✈ Infants - 10kg

✈ Business Class - Two pieces of baggage each not exceeding a
weight of 32kg and certain dimensions.
✈ Economy Class - Two pieces of baggage each not exceeding a
weight of 23kg and certain dimensions.

It all depends on the airlines. e.g Air Asia's carry on allowance is 3kg. While Qantas's is 5Kg but the baggage allowed on most air crafts (non carry on) is usually 15-20Kg and if it is over that weight you will pay a small fee. Or if the Baggage is 'over sized' e.g flying with surfboards was an extra $20.
