I feel very qualified to answer this question. Although you did not mention whci engine you have I will assume it is the 305CID (5.0L) engine. My gas milage varied from 17-19 in the city depending on lights and throttle use. On the highway, the Caprice is a truly amazing car. With a wicked overdrive and a lot of weight I got milage as high as 28.5MPG with my Caprice. I accomplished this by drafting quite a bit yet still rolling above 75mph. The Caprice gets it's best highway gas milage at speeds above 75mph on hilly terrain since when you go slower, the transmission will drop out of overdrive which greatly accelerates your fule consumption. I made a pont never to drive much below 80 with my Caprice. Keep in mind that my tires were much upgraded as well as my shocks. If you have standard tires and suspension, don't do that because it is dangerous. I wish I had not sold that car.
it depends on which model caprice u have. best idea is to take it to a tire shop
You could always search for the wiring diagram online. However, your best be is to invest in a "Haynes" manual. They are vehicle make/model specific and go for about $25. Its seriously the best investment if it's your car and you plan to keep it for awhile.
every car from early 80s on up has one , best to call the auto store and ask where it is,the are often by the fuel tank, some are under the driver side fule line but im not sure on a caprice , they will know at the autostore though Gm does not use inertia switches.
Depends on the coondtion, 2 or 4 door, engine size, rustly, never hit, ect. Best best eBay it and really find out. That's the only way to find out what the top bidder thinks its worth. But that still some miles my best guess is what the market will bare which isn't much now but $2,500 - $5,000. depending on the conditition. Got a 77 Impala 2 door very solid car but needs paint and rust under the vinal top w 77 k, stock Chevy 350 and it tried to sell it for $1,500 no luck. Had caprice same year last year got only $1,500 had some miles w 305 and wasn't as nice. Just hit or miss.
