if you have the 6cyl 4.0 from factory they come with 192... but i would recommend going down to 180 but nothing lower.
CJ7's did not come with a 360 V8's they did come with a 304 and the thermostat was a 192 but a 180 will work just fine.
The 160 thermostat should open about 20 degrees sooner than a 180.
Optima brand batteries are excellent. Any of these would be good for your Jeep. The bold number are the Group numbers.25 (8025-160) RedTop® 34 (8002-002) RedTop® 34/78 (8004-003) RedTop® 75/25 (8022-091) RedTop®

Looks like 190 from the factory. See link for discussion on optional 160 degree thermostat.
160 degree thermosdat
a 160 to 180 degree thermostat will work and any auto parts store should be able to get you one.
The best operating temperature for this engine is between 150-160 F. It should not be running at the same as your car which is a higher F. temp. You should have a 160 F. thermostat which will open at or be fully open at 160 F.
A 160 in the summer time and a 180 during the winter.
180 degree is stock but you could also go with 160 degree
Depends on brand and where you purchase it. I spent $160 but found they cost anywhere from $160 up to about $250.
The maximum speed of the jeep DKW 3CYL 50 HP 1961 is 160 km per hour.
