This depends on how far up your rectum the tampon is. If you can reach in and pull it out, then do that. To make it a bit easier, you could try lubricating your rectum (kitchen oil should work fine, but body or massage oil might be preferable) - just pour the lubricant into your rectum, and hopefully you should be able to pull it out without much trouble. It depends. Diversity in sports is a great thing. I did club soccer and baseball. The biggest issue that affected me was the money involved (which can pile up!) and a lot of practices. If you are up for practicing, have the money and have the will, I'd say go for it.
