In 'Runaway Bride', Richard Gere believes that Julia Roberts' inability to commit is evidenced by her choice of cooked eggs. With each fiancé, she would always just have what he was having, without ever realizing that she allowed her fiancés to guide too many decisions about what she really wanted out of life. Gere confronts her with this analogy and, after much trial and error, she concludes that eggs Benedict are the way to go. Armed with this new sense of independence, she also discovers that Gere is the man she wants, also after much trial and error.
