Bleeding occurs from the middle ear if the eardrum is ruptured, or if the blood vessels of the ear or eustachean tube are damaged. These can be caused by impact, concussion wave, extremely loud sounds, or sudden severe changes in air pressure. The last three are essentially the same injury, pressure damage.

what? ebola can make your ears bleed. If your ear is bleeding on the surface of the skin that could be from a scratch, a rash or fungus.

If your ear is bleeding from the cavity itself, I'm not a doctor but I think should get some medical treatment.

Before answering this question, please click discuss question for more information.

Well there are several factors one need to consider when figuring out what is causing the problem with your ear.

  1. How heavy is the earring?
  2. What type of fastener is on the jewellery piece, Shepard's hook, Stud?
  3. What type of metal is it made out of?
  4. Do you sleep with it on?
  5. Was there healing issues with that piercing?

These are just some of the questions you should ask yourself. If the jewellery has a Shepard's Hook and is quite heavy there could be a chance the jewellery is cutting the piercing. If the jewellery is fairly heavy and the piercing has had healing issues the weight could be making the piercing tear causing the bleeding. Some over sized or large jewellery pieces shouldn't be left in the piercing when you sleep, this could pose a snagging hazard when you sleep, tearing the piercing. Low quality materials will also cause issues with piercings, nickle contact dermatitis can cause a piercing to bleed when it's in contact with tissue that is not quite healed properly. if there were any issues with the piercing during the healing stages, wearing some forms of jewellery can annoy a not quite resolved issue with a piercing.

"Bleeding from the ear is ear drainage that contains blood. The discharge may be a combination of pus, wax, fluid and blood. Although there are other possible causes, the most common cause of bleeding from the ear is a ruptured or perforated eardrum."
