at first it might seem like the climax is after the seeker comes, but im pretty sure the climax is when wanda decides that she will have doc remove her from melanie's body. that's really the turning point in the story, and from there everything calms down, too. thanks for reading!! :) :) -Buffy the vamp. slayer
"The Host" by Stephenie Meyer explores the conflict between the human hosts and the parasitic alien Souls who try to assimilate into their bodies. The protagonist, Melanie, struggles internally as she fights against the Soul named Wanderer who has taken over her body, creating a complex internal conflict. Additionally, there is external conflict as the humans resist the Souls' attempts to take over Earth.
That would be the struggle between the alien "soul" invader Wanda (Wanderer) and her human host Melanie. As their feelings for the same man clash, they find out that one body is hardly enough for two entities.
two major ones are wanderer trying to survive in company of the humans, and attempting to love and be loved by the right people. later on the conflict is wanderer giving her live for her beloved humans knowing many will hate losing her and will try to stop it.
