The content of nonobjective art is its form.
Non-objects.
A truly abstract work of art is derived from an actual object or things in the real world, something found in nature that the artist has 'abstracted'. A non objective work of art has no ties to any real world objects or things and so it is not an abstraction of anything, it is aptly named, non objective.
Content to me is all the information in a work. Here's the way I learned about content. I am an art teacher. Subject matter would be what you actually see in the art work. Content is what the art work is actually about. Those are two different ideas if you think about it carefully. For example, you could have a painting with the subject matter of rain and flowers. But, by the way the artist depicts these images, it could suggest sadness, loss, unhappiness...that would be the content of the art work...what it really is about. Hope this helps.
aesthetics
Content in language arts is the message that is conveyed in the art work. this may be intellectual or emotional message which is essential or significant to art.

what the work expresses or means

Nonobjective art is intentionally created without reference to the real world, so trying to analyze it based on literal qualities like representation or realism would go against its very nature. Nonobjective art is meant to evoke emotions or ideas through abstract forms, colors, and composition, rather than through recognizable subjects or objects. Therefore, focusing on the literal qualities would not provide meaningful insights into the artist's intentions or the viewer's experience.
