Ron Weasley in fact had two wands (not counting the time he was in possession of Peter Pettigrew's wand), which both had unicorn hair cores. The first lasted from September 1991 (presumably) to September 1st, 1992 when it was broken by the Whomping Willow. He used that wand until the end of the school year (which was in 1993), although it did not work properly. It was ash, 12 inches. It was replaced in the next book with a 14 inch wand of willow. This wand is the one he's had ever since.
Dumbledore's wand is the Elder Wand. The core of the original wand is unknown, as nobody knows what the original wand was made of, or what happened to it. The core of the Elder Wand, however, is Thestral hair.

Ron Weasley obtain three separate wands during the Harry Potter series. His first wand had previously belonged to his older brother Charlie. It was a 12" Ash wood wand with a Unicorn hair core. His second wand was bought from Ollivanders in 1993 (or in the Prisoner of Azkaban). It was a 14" Willow wood wand with a Unicorn hair core. Ron lost his second wand to snatchers in 1998 (in The Deathly Hallows) and obtained his third wand from Malfoy Manor shortly after. It previously belonged to Peter Pettigrew and was a 91/4" Chesnut wand with a Dragon Heartstring core. It is currently unknown if he purchased a new wand or retrieved his previous wand after the series concluded.
