This must be a homework assignment. Without the lists of the chronological order presented to us we cannot tell you which one you should choose. The chronology of World War 2 is very long so we are referring you to a related site below so you can check your lists against the true historical listing. See below.
Anschluss Sitzkrieg Guadalcanal D-Day
1. Cold War 1945-1990 2. Gulf of Tonkin 1964 (part of the cold war) 3. 21st century, Afghanistan (2001 to present); Global War on Terrorism. A totally new world/totally new subject.
No. Too many to list. It may be possible to list the major Campaigns of the European and Pacific Theaters. Here are major battles, not all are listed-Invasion Of Poland, Battle Of Britain, the Dunkirk evacuation, the Japanese thrust into Southeast Asia, Siege of Leningrad, Attack on Pearl Harbor, Doolittle Raid, the USA Island-hopping Campaign (Guadalcanal, the Marshall's, Guam, Saipan and other Marianas, Philippines, Iwo Jima, Okinawa), the Japanese occupation of Far East Alaska (notably Attu), Operation Husky (the invasion of Italy), Battle of Midway, Leyte Gulf and Coral Sea, Operation Overlord (Northern France Sea Invasion, largest of all time), Battle of Falaise and the Bulge. There are much more battles in WWII, but I've listed most of the major battles here.If you are in elementary or high school, your history book may give you the impression that there were a few battles. Most school history books omit a lot of the history in order to condense everything into 1 chapter. I recommend that you start at your library and look for the TIME-LIFE books on WW2. This comes in 20+ volumes and your library will have a few of these. There are some reference books that give the events of WW2 in chronological order. Ask your librarian for one of those. The above list are only battles that relate to USA. The list also omits battles in North Africa and Italy. There were battles between Russian and Germans and ones between British and Italy, only. There were battles in Norway, China, Burma, Yugoslavia, Greece, and many other countries. There were naval battles and air battles.
