What is organic chemistry and how does it differ from inorganic chemistry?

Organic chemistry involves compounds that contain just hydrogen and carbon, such as the alkenes or alkanes. Whereas, inorganic chemistry deals with all the other compounds within chemistry that do not contain just hydrogen or carbon atoms.
