You can do the experiment yourself. Put Orange Juice in a thin plastic measuring up then submerge the cup straight up in water, letting it float (without letting them mix). Then compare the volume of displaced water (should be the water level on the measuring cup) with the volume of orange juice. The ratio of these will be the density in g/cm^-3, since water has density ~1 g/cm^-3.
I just did the experiment. Assuming negligible effects from the cup, I found that 8 oz of orange juice displaced about 10 oz of water. Therefore, orange juice has density = 10/8 times that of water. In units of g/cm^-3, water's density is 1. Therefore, the density of orange juice is about 1.25 g/cm^-3.
Yummy.
Hello Yummy OP: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^The above answerer "Yummy" really is far off saying 1.25 g/cc. I just poured as exactly as my measuring cup allowed, 8 fl oz (240 cc) of Lots of Pulp Tropicana Pure Premium OJ into it and put it on an accurate gram scale. The weight was 249.9 grams, call it 250. 250g/240mL comes out to be very close to 1.04 g/cc. Just to be sure, I checked an orange juice website and they measure how sweet OJ is by brix. Good OJ is over 8.5 brix. Let's call it 9 for giggles. A brix of 9 corresponds to 1.036 g/cc according to the brix charts. *all confirmed*. I am a loser.
4 for regular orange juice like tropicana without pulp. We did not do further investigation onward.

Who cares?! It's not like it will matter, right
with pulp, because you also get the nutrients from the pulp
Yes, freshly squeezed orange juice is considered a type of suspension. This is because it may have some pulp or fruit bits suspended in the juice.
It has been compressed for a long time in a bottle so it uses water and air. orange juice has pulp which takes longer to release juice from to melt
because when they filter out the pulp they don't catch it all. some bits slip through.
Because It's Doggie Sh*t.
The pulp of the orange give a high density to the juice and eggs float.
Chemically, Orange Juice with pulp is a mixture.
density of pulp
pulp (fibre)
Pulp is a good source for fiber which promotes healthy digestion
it is a heterogeneous mixture with the pulp and homogeneous without the pulp. Its also a suspension (with the pulp), since the pulp settles on the bottom upon standing.
You can put the pulp in a smoothie or just compost it.
orange
Oranges and some are with pulp and others don't have pulp
Not really. The main thing you gain from drinking OJ with pulp is more fibre.
