There are different 'breeds' of wolves, like dogs. You know there's a difference between a Great Dane and a Chihuahua, it's obvious. The Timber Wolf LOOKS different from other wolves. Also, timber wolves live in different areas than some other wolves. You can have have mixed wolves in a pack, but mostly, they're all in separate regions.

A timber wolf is really just a gray wolf, with a different name. Timber wolves are gray wolves. Eastern Timber Wolves are Eastern Gray wolves... i guess..

That's^ a guy who needs to watch his nat geo wild. A timber wolf like all other wolves are a subspecies of the gray wolf. They are native to north eastern North America. They are able to put 527 lbs. of force into their bite. They have 2.5 inch claws (if it is a full grown adult male). They have 2 inch canines. They are part of the canidae family of course. They are also extremely vicious they can eat American black bear. You might not think so but its pretty amazing.
