Pine trees are trees that don't lose their needles in winter and maple trees do.

Maple trees don't have needles.

Apart from both being broadleaf trees, there is little similarity. They are two entirely different species of tree.

Maple genus: Acer.

Oak genus: Quercus.

oak trees have long leaves which are thin. Maple leaves are wide and short.

a fir tree doesn't lose it's leaves in the fall, a maple tree does. Fir trees are coniferous, meaning they have needles not leaves.
