Respect is something most people would like from their piers, children, parents, boss. The problem with respect is it comes in many forms and you have no control over how a person deems respect. It's something we all want but self respect is the most paramount.
Responsibility - it's up to the individual to do what he or she merits as the moral or ethic action. You have more control over this outcome and get real in good vibes for your self. This builds character!
But you can get pretty heavy and dark on this stuff. Just look at any divorce.
