Pretty much, the 180sx is right side drive and 240sx is left. Other than that they are basically the same. I believe that some 180sx come with a CA18DE or the SR20DET, Im pretty sure that all 240sx come stock with a KA24E or KA24DE
its the same car
No, only the JDM counterparts (ie. 180sx, Silvia, etc.) came with stock turbo engines.
The difference between a 89 and 92 are the front bumpers. The only difference between the two fenders would be if the car is a fastback or a coupe. If they are both fastbacks (and different years), there is no difference between the two.Correct Answerthe difference between the fenders is.... on the later generation of the s13 (91-94) 240sx is that the have plastic pieces clip into the front bumper other than that there is no difference not even between coupes or hatches
the Nissan 240sx in American markets was released with the ka24de... a dismal attempt of a performance engine. while in Japan Australia and other markets was released with the sr20de/sr20det, a MAGNIFICENT engine, easy power gains with bolt on modifications, and an aftermarket parts list that could fill a phone book, has proven it to be one of the best performance engines coming from Japan. early models of the 180sx came with the ca18de/ca18det engines which are very popular too, but later models came out with the sr20det also. the only notable difference would be the body and interior, but the chassis remains the same.
Only one motor, the ka24e single cam motor 2.4 liter. The Japanese version is known as a 180sx which had he ca18det, twin cam 1.8 liter turbo.
The problem is with the 240sx , a.k.a the s13 silvia , you will need something along the lines of a onevia kit , so basically you will need the bumber , lights m the headlight motor and wiring , go to your local body shop and ask what they can do , and also try to find a local wrecker with some parts from a 180sx or a 240sx onevia.
Chilton has a manual you can pick up at your local auto store that has all wiring and vaccum diagrams for 89-92 180sx/200sx/240sx No it doesn't, been there done that. It has wiring schematics for everthing but the engine bay. It has Vacuum and wiring diagrams for everything but a 1990 240SX with the KA24E.
Nothing. Still the same motor (KA24DE). If you're looking for an S13 I suggest you get a 93 'cause if you plan to do an SR swap the power steering will line up on a 93.
1990 is ka24e, single overhead cam, 1991 is ka24de, dual overhead cam.
1993 240SX - Base model. (hard top) 1993 240SX LE (Limited Edition) - Alloy wheels (moonroof) 1993 240SX SE (Special Edition) - In coupe it comes with sunroof (not moonroof), Alloy wheels, Leather interior. Some 240sx has other special features like the rare HICAS (rear wheel steering), or Convertible. So far, I never saw a 5-speed convertible...
the 95 has KA24DE engine; yours is the same. you should be able to use them near interchangeably.
yes they did, and so did the Canadian S13s. You can also take the manual S14 seatbelts but it will not be a 100% exact fit, but pretty close. The Canadian S13 and the JDM S13 seatbelts will replace your auto lapbelts with no problem.
