The 4t60e is a 4speed Transverse 60 (rating) and E for electronically controlled transmission used in front wheel drive cars. The 4L60e is a 4spd Longitudinal 60 (rating) and E for electronically controlled. If your vehicle is rear wheel drive or 4wheel drive it would have the 4l60e.
it is a 4L60e and they will all fit as far as mounting but censor differences may occur
The 1997 version has the 4T60e transmission
4t60e
4T60E-- It's stamped on the pan.
4t80e or a 4t60e which ever the dealer put in.
4t60e
A 4T60E is a 4T60E unless it's a 4T60E-HD (used with the supercharged 3800) except for the gear ratios. It will fit, but there are 9 different gear ratios available for the 4T60E, and if you want to be sure your gearing isn't going to change you'd best check the RPO for final drive ratio.
Yes and no, the 3800 N/A has the 4t60E transmission the 3800 superchaged has the 4t65E transmission technically the transmission will bolt up to the motor, but you will need the axle shafts as well for this to work properly. the 60 and 65 have different output splines. Also, the final drive on the 4t60E is taller(revs faster) than the 4t65E. In short putting a 4t60E in a GTP will not work. Also the PCM will not recognize a 4t60 in a GTP. Yes it will fit, no dont use it.

anything with a 4t60e . its the most common front wheel drive gm tranny
The 3100 Engine (code M in VIN.#) motor has a 4T60E Transmission. The 3800 Engine (code K in VIN.#) motor has a 4T65E Transmission. Hope This Helps you, Brett
no, the gt has a 4t60e transmission and the gtp has a 4t65e-hd transmission which is built to handle more power than the t60. t65-hd is a better tranny
