Both are distinctly different breeds. While the English Springer originated in England and the Brittany originated in the French province of Briton. They also hunt differently. The Spinger “springs” or flushes its quarry while the Brittany (spaniel was dropped by the AKC in the early 80’s) points its quarry waiting for its human hunting partner to move in and flush.
