There is no difference between a 1963 C10 and a step side Chevy truck. The C10 designation tells you the truck is a half ton model. The step side designation is just the styling of the bed. The only other distinct difference in body styling other than the bed was the cab options. They were available in custom (big back window) and standard cab (small back window), with the standard cab being the most common. All stylings were available in both long and short wheelbase.
