If in sports, a goal is a score. The win would be a higher score at the end of the game. otherwise, the goal would be considered as target acquired, where as the win would be considered as target achieved or eliminated, depending on whether the desired outcome of the target was supposed to be either.
The word goal in both instances means something to aim for or achieve - just as a target can be something to fire a missile at or a result you would like to achieve.
