A strong base is a base that readily accpets protons and is fully dissociated in water. A weak base is the complete opposite to it.

Note that in English the term is "weak base". "Light base" doesn't really mean anything, even if that would ordinarily be a better translation.

Difference between a strong acid and a strong base?

A strong acid is a substance that completely dissociates in water to produce H+ ions, while a strong base dissociates completely to produce OH- ions. Strong acids have low pH values and can readily donate protons, while strong bases have high pH values and can accept protons.

What is the difference between strong acid and strong base?

A strong base will, in water, fullyhydrolyse to give (react into) hydroxide (OH-) ions.A weak acid will, in water, partially hydrolyse to give (react into) hydronium(H3O+, or H+) ions. The strong/weak difference is in bold, the base/acid difference is itallicalized.

What is formed in the neutralization reaction between a strong acid and a strong base?

In a neutralization reaction between a strong acid and a strong base, water and a salt are formed. The H+ ions from the acid react with the OH- ions from the base to form water (H2O), while the remaining ions form a salt.
