sometimes, the map view of an area is not enough. you can get a better feeling for the topography of earths surface from a profile view,or cross section. A profile view looks as though you were standing on earths surface and looking toward the horizon. examine the map view and profile view.
A two dimensional diagram that describes the landscape in vertical cross-sections. If you are confused it could also just be a two dimensional diagram that describes landscape.
topographic maps show the shape of the earth's surface and topograpic profile shows earth's surface from a cross section or profile view
A side view of an elevation ussualy can be made by using a topographic map
Contour interval
It would be the difference between the two darker lines, or index lines, and then divide the space in between with your difference.
A topographic map shows equal lines of elevation, in set distances which can vary between maps (dependent on the grade of elevation change). elevation, relief, and slope.
I believe it is a Thematic map.
A topographic map would show elevations and contours.
Topographic maps are used to show elevation on land, and bathymetric maps are used to show depth in bodies of water.

mt st helens is 3-d, topographic map is 2-d. a topographic map can probably fit on your desk, but mt st helens may not
Total relief is the difference in elevation between the highest and lowest points on the map.
Contour interval
A topographical map shows elevations. They are more useful than other types of maps when looking for information about landforms, their locations, and their heights.

A topographical map
It would be the difference between the two darker lines, or index lines, and then divide the space in between with your difference.
The relief is the difference between the highest and lowest contour line.
A topographic map shows equal lines of elevation, in set distances which can vary between maps (dependent on the grade of elevation change). elevation, relief, and slope.
