A-flat is one note lower than A-natural, and A-sharp is one note higher than A-natural. A-sharp is the same note as B-flat. On the Flute, the fingering for A-sharp/ B-flat is left thumb, left pointer finger, right pointer finger, and right pinky down. The fingering for A-flat is left thumb, all left fingers, and right pinky down. As far as sharps and flats go, they generally mean the same thing for any note; think of flat as meaning "one note lower than" what the letter is, and think of sharp as meaning "one note higher than" what the letter is. For example, C-flat is one note lower than C-natural, and C-sharp is one note higher than C-natural.
to play an Ab (A flat) on flute you do a regular G but add your pinkie on your left hand. then if you wanna play a high Ab then you blow faster/higher, and if you wanna play a lower high Ab then you blow slower/lower. It doesn't matter whether your playing a high or low Ab, they have the same fingering.
It will be on the second line from the bottom and have a flat sign next to it. or, if it is an octave higher it will in be the second space above the top line of the measure.
I keep looking everywhere for online sheet music for Electric feel by MGMT for flute, I figured out the first part but I haven't played in like a year and need the notes for the second half of the song....anyone know where to find them?
I don't think you can or should try and find free flute sheet music. If you find sheet music, it should cost or it would be considered copyright. I have tried the exact same thing, and no reliable site had come up. Sorry if this sounds like a load of junk, but you'd rather have no free music than end up in juvie, right?
You need to buy the sheet music from a music store, then practice the piece with the help of recordings and preferably a teacher.
google music publishers....they should have some that you can check out for solo literature or ones with a piano accompianment. Or just google flute sheet music...but its not always very good....and a friend of mine got a virus that way. Try publishers like kjos, etc. first. There are many books that include wedding sheet music - perhaps try your closest library? Remember that it does not have to be specifically for Flute. Any score for violin/recorder/oboe or any other non-transposing instrument will suffice. If you still need more music, try playing the melody from the normal piano score.
To see my flute sheet music, please check out http://members.sibeliusmusic.com/tim.new There's lots of music available to buy online. Try sibeliusmusic.com and sibeliuseducation.com You can browse the sheet music, and listen to it before you buy.
There is a number of sources that can provide you with whatever sheet music you need. The flute is the easiest instrument to play because it has so many keys like saxophone.
There is no sheet music for still doll on the flute. You just have to listen to the music and play along as you go, like me! I can play it perfectly by using this method.

They are actually not quite the same; violin music notes are 12% lower on average, so that the lead music stands out more. However, they have the same names. Like a Battery flat on lead sheet music is still a Battery flat on violin music; same with a Extremely sharp or a Chocolate natural.
