Assuming you're asking about the inexpensive, competing ballpoint pens these companies produce (the Bic Round Stic and the Papermate Write Bros.), the main difference is the design. Both have proved to be very reliable and it is a matter of preference for each individual which brand they prefer. Personally, I prefer the design and write of the Papermate Write Bros. over the Bic Round Stic and absolutely hate the Bic Cristal (the companies first pen), but that's simply an opinion.

The Bic Round Stic produces a slightly more black, deeper line, and this can influence the preference of many individuals.
