The lowest layer of the sun"s atmosphere and the layer from which light is given off is the photosphere. It is also called the surface of the sun.Its temperature is about 6,000k.Above the photosphere is the chromosphere. Its layer extends upward about 2,000 km above the photosphere.

The Sun's photosphere has a temperature between 4500 and 6000 kelvins wich is between about 4227 and 5727 Celsius
Photosphere
The photosphere is the atmospheric layer of the Sun that emits light (photo- means light). The Corona is the last part of the Sun's atmosphere that extends more than one million kilometers from its surface, where the temperature can reach two million degrees. It is in the plasma state of matter, and it creates solar wind. The Corona does not emit light, and the photosphere cannot create solar wind.
The surface of the sun, called the photosphere, ranges between 5,500 °C to 6,000 °C.
The photosphere is the visible "surface" of a star such as the sun from which the light we see emanates.

the photosphere does nothing
the sun has a photosphere.
The part of the sun that is going to emit the most visible light is going to be the Photosphere
The Sun's photosphere has a temperature between 4500 and 6000 Kelvins
Next to the Photosphere is the Subsurface flows.
The Photosphere
On a star, the chromosphere is the next layer above the photosphere.
