Hardware ia anything HARD, in essence, paper, printers, mice, hard drives, processor fans, monitors, etc. Software is otherwise known as computer programs.
Hardware is the tangible parts of a computer & software is not tangible :)
there are several difference between computer hardware and software .fundamental difference between hardware(keyboard, printer) is a physical device and software is instructions that given to the computer(window 2000,microsoft office )etc
Software is the code that a computer runs - you can not touch software, it is abstract. Hardware is what runs computer code - the physical stuff you can touch.
Software are programs that will stay on your computer, and have no physical manifestation. Hardware is something you can touch, such as a hard drive, or a keyboard.
Computer Science = software ECE = hardware + software + telecommunication
There are differences between computer hardware and software. However, the fundamental difference between hardware and software is that hardware is a physical device something that you're able to touch and see. For example, the computer monitor you're viewing this text on or the mouse you're using to navigate is considered computer hardware. Software is code and instructions that tell a computer and/or hardware how to operate. This code can be viewed and executed using a computer or other hardware device.
Components of a computer system has to deal with the Hardware and Software. The parts deal with the hardware parts.
Should be obvious. Hardware faults are problems with the hardware. Software faults are problems with the software. Hardware = physical components of the computer (i.g. motherboard, hard drive, power supply). Software = computer programs
Software is program which computer language only computer can understand. Hardware is external devices which fully depend on software instruction and produce effective out come.
The software of a computer is the programs on the computer, for example a word processor. The hardware of a computer are the physical parts of the computer, for example the mouse.
software is a program of some sort. hardware is a physical piece of the computer (you can touch it)if you have a hardware problem something has physically gone wrong with the computerif you have a software problem a program has frozen up or something along those lines
I think the difference lies in the projects they work on. A computer engineer and software engineer can both do software, but computer engineers typically work on some of the hardware aspect of their project as well. The way I see it, I see a lot of computer engineers work on embedded software/hardware, and software engineers work more on software applications. There are two types of computer engineers, software engineer and hardware engineer software engineers mainly do software stuff and hard engineers work with computer parts
The difference between computer studies and computer science is in the aspects that they focus on. In simple form, computer studies look at the computer hardware while computer science if inclined towards the software.
A computer is the hardware of your system; the stuff you can actually touch and feel. Computer programs, aka "Software", is just that - you cannot touch it. The hardware runs the software. In other words, the computer program needs the computer, but not the other way around.
The difference between hardware and software is that hardware is something physical. It is something you can touch. For example, a CD and its CD-ROM drive is hardware, but the music that is recorded on it is the software.
Hardware refers to the physical components of the computer which can be felt and seen. Software refers to the programs that allow the system to operate and perform different functions.
Hardware is hard and Software is soft
The main difference between hard copy and soft copy is that soft copy is software of computer whereas hard copy is hardware or parts of computer
Computer science involves studying expressions, structures and feasibility. Computer Engineering has software and hardware. The hardware aspect focuses on the physical hardware of the computer. While the software aspect focuses on the system software. Ê
You can touch a hardware but can not touch a software. Hardware is a physical thing while software is a logical thing
Software are computer programs that help you with specific tasks (cant touch) and hardware are the "hard" parts of the computer like the printer, keyboard, mouse, ect
The name of the program that lets your computer to communicate with hardware devices is call KERNEL. Kernel communicates between hardware and software of a computer and manages how hardware resources are used to meet software requirements
Computer science is the study of computers (particularly software). Computer hardware is the physical parts of a computer. Hardware may include a screen, a hard drive, a mouse, a keyboard, RAM, etc. Basically, computer science is something people study, and computer hardware is what a computer is physically made out of.
System programming or system software is a set of programs that co-ordinates the activities of hardware and programs. But OS meant it is a software that controls the computer hardware.
computer science and computer engineering mostly overlap each other. The basic difference is that computer science mostly deals with computer software and computer engineering mostly deals with computer hardware.
