well a couple of my friends caught some grasshoppers so i asked for the sex of them and they said to know the difference between a male and female is the color the brown ones are females and the green ones are males

Pick up your grasshopper and flip it over. If it has two tiny spikes on its butt its a female. If it doesn't have two tiny spikes, its a male
