The genome is all live form's genetic characteristics, that is all the genes in the genetic code (DNA). The genome is the way to identify a species among the others. The DNA is constituted for the genes and four of the five bases: guanine, cytosine, thymine and adenine, represented like this: G-C-T-A
If you have ever seen a DNA test in TV, there are those letters many times. The
way these letters are grouped and how many times a determined base appears in the DNA is what we called a genome. Since the genome is all your DNA, the genome is bigger than the chromosome.
The chromosomes are a little part of genetic information, they are inside of the cellular nucleon. The number of chromosomes determines the species. For example, most of human beings have 46 chromosomes grouped in 23 pairs and only humans have that number. If a human has less or more than 46, it means that person was born with a genetic mutation.
There are two types of chromosomes: X and Y (before the invention of the electronic microscope, the Y chromosome was called 0 because it is too small for being seen with regular microscopes, so scientists though it didn't exist). Women only have X chromosomes, so they are represent XX and men have both types, so they are represented XY.
Also, men determine the baby's sex because if the spermatozoon -who get through the ovule (which has X chromosome always)- has X chromosome it means that the baby is going to be a girl; and if it has Y chromosome, it means that the baby is going to be a boy.
And both, men and women, determine the number of babies. Because it depends of the number of ovules and the number of spermatozoa who survive the journey.
a genome consists of chromosomes which contain all the hereditary information
hope this helps!
A chromosome because DNA is found inside of chromosomes which is found in the nucleus of a cell.
chromosome is larger
small to large

chromosomes
In humans there are 23 pairs, for a total of 46 chromosomes (the complete genome) in each body cell.
There are many more genes than chromosomes. The Human Genome Project currently has identified about 20,000 protein-coding genes, while there are only 46 chromosomes in the human genome.
Genome anatomy is the structure of all the genetic information in the haploid portion of chromosomes of a cell.

what is the difference between autosome and sex chromosomes
On chromosomes
yes.

There are 23 pairs of chromosomes in the human genome.

Bos Taurus, which is the scientific name for domestic cattle, typically has 60 chromosomes, with 30 pairs in total. This chromosome number is typical for most breeds of cattle, but there can be some variations among different breeds.
Genome = the total genetic content (many genes) contained in a haploid set of chromosomes in eukaryotes, in a single chromosome in bacteria, or in the DNA or RNA of viruses. a gene = One unit of the genome, consisting of a sequence of DNA that occupies a specific location on a chromosome and determines a particular characteristic in an organism
In humans there are 23 pairs, for a total of 46 chromosomes (the complete genome) in each body cell.
DNA is in genes, and genes are in chromosomes.
