Both are measures of temperature.

Both have 100 Degrees between the freezing point and melting point of pure water

at 1 atmosphere of pressure but the difference lies in the value of 0k and 0c.

Zero centigrade is the freezing temperature of pure water where as Zero Kelvin is Absolute Zero, which is -273 Degrees Centigrade.

Therefore water freezes at 273 Degrees Kelvin and 0 Degrees Centigrade.

Water therefore boils at 373 Degrees Kelvin but 100 degrees Centigrade.

(All assuming one standard atmosphere of pressure.)

What is 350 degrees kelvin?

Kelvin has the same intervals as the common Centigrade (Celsius) scale; that is, a difference of one degree Kelvin is the same as a difference of one degree Centigrade. However, the starting point is different; you must substract 273 degrees from Kelvin to convert to Centigrade, therefore, 350 Kelvin = 77 degrees Centigrade.

What is 1 degree kelvin in centigrade?

1 kelvin = -272.15 degrees centigrade.

96 kelvin equals how many centigrade?

96 kelvin = -177.15 degrees Centigrade

At what temperature does all kinetic energy cease?

Zero Kelvin - about -273 Centigrade.Zero Kelvin - about -273 Centigrade.Zero Kelvin - about -273 Centigrade.Zero Kelvin - about -273 Centigrade.

What Kelvin temperature equal to 100 degreesC?

To convert Centigrade (a.k.a. Celsius) to Kelvin, add 273 to the Centigrade temperature.

Is Kelvin temperature always higher than the equivalent centigrade temperature?

Since Kelvin = Centigrade + 273.15, YES - it will always be higher than the equivalent centigrade temperature.

Which is larger a Fahrenheit degree or a Kelvin?

A kelvin is larger. The kelvin "interval" is the same as a centigrade (celsius) degree

What is the difference between Fahrenheit and Centigrade degrees?

Fahrenheit = 5/9 ( Centigrade - 32)

If the difference of temperature between a and b is 5 degrees centigrade what is the difference on the kelvin scale?

Kelvin is the SI unit for temperature. Celsius is usually used in metric systems. 0 degree celsius is 273.15 Kelvin. Kelvin increases equally with celsius. So to convert celsius to kelvin, we just add 273.15 to celsius. The answer in Kelvin is 278.15

What does the word kelvins mean when talking of temperature?

Kelvin is a temperature scale, like Fahrenheit or Centigrade. It is generally used in scientific contexts. One degree Kelvin is equal to one degree Centigrade. In order to find the temperature in Kelvin, I have provided the following equations. If you have a temperature in Fahrenheit and want to know it in Kelvin, it is easiest to convert to Centigrade first. (Fahrenheit Temperature - 32) X (5/9) = (Centigrade Temperature) If you have a Centigrade temperature and want to know it in Kelvin, you can convert it directly to Kelvin. (Centigrade Temperature + 273) = (Kelvin Temperature) The reason for the 273 is that scientists wanted the Kelvin scale to begin at Absolute Zero. Thus, Absolute Zero is 0 K and -273 degrees Centigrade. Since, as I stated above, one degree Centigrade is equal to one degree Kelvin, this equation works. If you want to convert back from Kelvin, the following equations may be used. (Kelvin Temperature -273) = (Centigrade Temperature) And if you're asked to report the temperature in Fahrenheit, use (Centigrade Temperature X (9/5)) +32 = (Fahrenheit Temperature) It should be noted that you do not include a degree symbol when you report a Kelvin temperature.

What is the Kelvin of 37 centigrade?

37ºC = 310.15K

Convert degree centigrade to degree kelvin?

This is a very simple conversion, you can use this equation to convert Centigrade to degrees Kelvin: ºC + 273.15 = ºK
