Portrait and Landscape take their names from the way paintings of those two types are. Both are rectangular, but a portrait is usually higher than it is wide and a landscape is wider than it is high. As printing paper is rectangular too, portrait and landscape determine which way on the page spreadsheets, or other types of documents, are printed. Portrait is the standard way, but sometimes you may want to have things printed in landscape mode, so you will want to see how it looks before printing. That is where portrait and landscape views come in.
Portrait orientation is usually referred to a screen with a resolution with the height being longer than the length. A landscape display is the opposite, with the length being more pixels long than the height.
Landscape orientation is a print specification, whereby the document is printed with its top at the long side of the rectangle-shaped printer paper.
You can change between to or from landscape orientation in the printer dialog box by checking the orientation you want.
landscape is wider and portrait is higher, both are rectangular. Its like you have normal rectangle (landscape) and 90% rotated rectangle(portrait)
Portrait would set your paper standing, while landscape would set your paper like a widescreen monitor.
You can not change a paper size to landscape, landscape is an orientation, not a size.
