The difference in between Sunni and Shiite Muslims is based on believe and faith rather than traditions. Usually they have same traditions since they live demographically close to each together.
The two sects are Sunni and Shia, the majority belong to the Sunni.

the major difference between them come backs to believing to Islam. shia has five pillars in principal. shia in one hand is resemble ti sunni namely both of them have the same ideas in: unity of Allah, prophecy and resurrection. besides these, shia also believe in Imamate and justice.
It is mainly not called two sections. Shia and Sunnis are both Muslims, but they have a slight difference in their way of Islam. A Shia Muslim can't let a Sunni Muslim enter their mosque because he is a Sunni. It goes the same for Sunnis as well.
There is only one version of Islam . If you means sects , than there are many sects but basic two are Sunni and Shia .
