A transient is someone that has no real place to live like a hobo, they are also not looking to improve there education or place of residents. A transfer student want`s to learn new life styles as well as improve there education, and usually have some one that they are either staying with in there home or has made residential arrangements, and they usually return to there native country upon completion of there schooling.
