There is absolutely no difference in DNA between the parent cell and daughter cell in mitosis. During mitosis, the DNA is copied exactly and transferred, so the DNA is exactly the same in both cells. This is different in meiosis however. This is because in Meiosis the DNA crosses over with each other and end up different in each of their daughter cells.

There is no difference between the two cells, and also there is no "Parent" and "Daughter" cells, it's just one cell splitting into two cells, not one cell giving birth to another cell.

Parent cells are diploids, and daughter cells are haploids. Therefore, the daughter cells have half of the the number of chromosomes as the parent cells. (chromosomes are DNA)

What are all the differences between meiosis and mitosis?

in mitosis a parent cell divides into two daughter cells in which the chromosomes are replicated and distributed equally into daughter cells. while in meiosis a parent cell divides into four unequall daughter cells.

What is the difference between cells created by meiosis and parent cells?

I don't think there is any difference. Cells created by meiosis are sex cells, i guess they're the same as parent cells

What is the difference between parent nucleus and daughter nucleus?

In mitosis, there is no difference. In meiosis, daughter nucleii are haploid also somewhat different due to independant assortment and crossing over.

What is the difference between the number of chromosomes between a parent cell and its daughter cells?

the daughter cells have half the chromosomes the parent cell does. so when the sex cell combines with the other there isn't double chromosomes. :) the daughter cells have half the chromosomes the parent cell does. so when the sex cell combines with the other there isn't double chromosomes. :)

What is the difference between cell division and mitosis?

cell division includes mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis is with one parent cell and meiosis is with 2 parent cells.

How many parent and daughter cells are present for a cell that divides through meiosis?

2 parent cells and 3 daughter cells

In meiosis if the parent cell has 8 chromosomes each daughter cell will have?

Each daughter cell will have 4 chromosomes. A parent cell is diploid and 2N, therefore N=4 for the parent cell because it has 8 chromosomes. After meiosis, a daughter cell is N and therefore has 4 chromosomes.

Differences between mitosis and meiosis?

place of occurence ;mitosis= somatic cells | meiosis=gonadic cells crossing over;mitosis=does not occur | meiosis=occur during prophase of meiosis 1 to form tetrads number of daughter cell;mitosis=two | meiosis= four genetic variation;mitosis=no variation produced| meiosis=produces genetic variation genetic composition in daughter cell; mitosis=identical to the parent cell | meiosis= non identical to the parent cell and each other

How do you compare the parent cell and new cells formed by meiosis?

The parent cell has twice the chromosomal material than the four daughter cells. parent= diploid daughter= monoploid
