Physically, the most obvious differences between American Pit Bull Terriers and American Bulldogs relate to size and color. American Pit Bull Terriers (APBT) are smaller in size in relation to the American Bulldog. This size difference relates to the bloodlines of APBTs, which are the Olde English Bulldog and the Staffordshire Terrier. The American Bulldog does not belong to the terrier family and is classified in the Mastiff family. APBTs weigh typically between 35 and 55 lbs, while American Bulldogs weigh between 70 and 120 lbs. In regards to color differences, American Bulldogs do not come in blue or brindle- typical APBT traits, but rather brown or white. Also, in some cases American Bulldogs have mismatched eye colors. APBTs do not have the same facial structure of American Bulldogs. Typically, APBTs have a longer snout with less wrinkles and American Bulldogs can have very droopy faces and are typically "thicker" in muscle and bone structure. The American Bulldog was bred as a working dog and as a desired "happy medium" between work and play, giving it its large size and thick frame. APBTs were bred more for fighting and farm work.
The differences between these two breeds go even more in depth than that, but size and color are the most obvious. I owned an APBT and currently own an American Bulldog and I would not know where to begin when listing their differences. Similarities- they are both amazing companions.
If you are talking about looks, the bullies are shorter and stocky or biger and wider. If you are taking about performance, pitbull were bred for stamina, courage and a stable temperament. Bullies were bred for looks.
pitbulls are more athletic
they were once known as the same breed until people noticed the stockiness of the American bully compared to the pitbull.\

Are you talking about American Bulldogs and APBT or 'American Bullies' and APBT?
American Bulldogs: 22+inches, tall, muscular, larger ears (not cropped), 95-135lbs, white, brindle, part color. Long legs, more mastiff resemblance.
APBT: 18-21'', compact, light, smaller, agile, smaller ears (when not cropped), 30-65lbs. All colors, except merle or albino.
American Bullies: 14''-22'', low to the ground, heavy walk, weak pasterns, smaller ears, 75-140lbs, all colors, even merle or albino.
There are two types of American Bulldog, which people do tend to forget! First you have the Johnson and then you have the Scott.
The Scott types often resemble a large, leggy Pit Bull.
The Johnson is generally a larger, heavier dog with a shorter muzzle.
Pit Bulls--40-60lbs, 18-21inches, well built, muscular, not heavy, sleek and agile.
American Bulldog--20+inches (generally 24-27), 85-140lbs, massive chested, broad heads, large ears, and very muscular
Also, there's no such thing as a "Pit Bulldog" it is a "American Pit Bull" or a "Pit Bull."
Pit Bulls tend to be taller and weigh more than bulldogs. Pit Bulls tend to be more aggressive than bulldogs. However, Bulldogs are considered to be brachycephalic where else Pit Bulls are not. Their history is also different: pit bulls were used originally in the sport of dog fighting; bulldogs were used to bait bulls.
Nothing. Those are two names for the same breed the American Pitbull Terrier(formal name).
bullys are mean people
a pit bull terrior is a dog
You can breed any dog with another dog.
theres a little difference. , pit bull, pit bull terrier, staffordshire terrier, and sometimes bull terrier. the staffordshire terrier is English bred. There is no difference. "Pit Bull" is just a shortened name for the American Pit Bull Terrier. All "pit bulls" are terriers. Just depends on if you want to use the full name. Your question is similar to asking what the difference is between a Rottie and a Rottweiler No, stafordshire and bull terrier are different from a pitbull, they are all cousin, and come from the mastuffs, however, They are different breeds, stafforshires are from American, we copied England of The Stafforshre BULL terrier (Which that plus pit makes a bully) And Bull terriers are also from England, te English bull terrier, they are what you have seen on Next Friday (Chico) the movie, But they have the egg shaped head, they are cute but Ugly at the same time. search the breeds up in Google images. and actually people use the term pitbull to describe a few breeds of dogs all sharing similar caristeristics (sp ?) ie; American pitbull terrier, American stafordshire terrier, stafordshire bull terrier. sometimes even cane corsos. so a pitbull could be a number of dogs but a pitbull terrier is probably reffering to an American pitbull terrier. its sometimes hard to tell any of the breeds apart. look up on youtube : the real pitbull terrier and that will tell you the difference between the American bully and the American Pitb ull terrier
Lol that's easy mate. Pitbull and an American bulldog. I used to live in tottenham. London
I have seen pictures in the internet and these dogs look like a pitbull but are wider and shorter.
Well, being that by law anything w/ American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier & Staffordshire Bull Terrier & all their mixes are considered a " Pit Bull"- it would be the American Bully. These dogs are Hybrids 1/2 AST & APBT. While an APBT doesn't get any larger than 75lbs - the Am Bully will exceed 110lbs easy. Some even over 150lbs.
They are bullies therefore not pitbulls.
cosoles, fps rate, missions, cloth, and a few extra little things
Blood lines. The "bully pits" are a new breed called the American Bully. Which often have lines like gotti or razors edge. The American Pit Bull Terrier, is a breed that throws medium sized dogs, and are usually not blue. American Bullies are known to be blue, when you see a full blue litter of pups, they are most likely American Bullies.
There is no fixed price. A stud fee could vary from 500 to 3,000 dollars and in some cases more. A puppie could vary also withing this range. No matter what, I am never pay this amount for a bullie.
bolio is the bloodline, I wouldn't mix a bolio pit with a bully pit because the bully pit is not a 100% all American pit bull, it is a mix three time dog which makes it a band dog, people if u want a 100%American pitbull terrier look for the coby bolio redboy.........and an other thing pitbulls are only to be no more then 30 to 50 pounds any thing over is bad for there health!
A pit bull/bull mastiff is a common mixed breed sold. It is commonly called a bully or American bully.
The watchdog bloodline is a registered bloodline with both UKC (United Kennel Club) and ADBA (American Dog Breeder's Association). The bodies if the dogs are well built and the colors darks colors and the white patches are a trade mark.
