the variable is allowed to change, the control must stay the same. If you are testing whether a bird whistles best in hot or cold temperatures, the type of bird should be the control.

What is the difference between control and controlled variable?

control is when nothing is done to the experiment and controlled variable is that you have control over the experiment.

What is the difference between experimental variable and a control variable?

In a controlled experiment, the control variable remains constant while the experimental variable changes with each trial of the experiment.

Distinguish between a variable and a contol?

a variable is the thing that we change during the experiment while control is the thing that we remain it to be constant through the whole experiment.

Are controls always necessary in an experiment?

Yes 99.99% of the time, controls are very necessasry. If you are performing an experiment testing some variable, say (X) , you need to perform a control where everything is the same as the experiment conditions including your (X) variable your testing in the experiment. Therefore, the only difference between your control and your experiment is the variable your testing.Since the variable in your control is kept constant, you can compare the result so the experiment (where the variable was varied) and your control (where the variable was kept constant).Since all other factors in both the control and experiment were the same, you can compare your results

Distinguish between a variable and a control?

in an experiment we usually make two or more set ups. the first set up where all the conditions are normal is known as the control. the rest of the set ups which may have different conditions is called as the variable set up.example:suppose we are performing an experiment to check the growth of plants in absence of carbon dioxide. The control will have carbon dioxide (normal condition).the variable will not have carbon dioxide.this is done for a comparison between normal and abnormal conditions.Thank you.

Why is a control group important to have in a experiment?

A control group is the standard of comparison between what happens with the experimental variable and without the experimental variable.

What is the difference of a dependent variable and an independent variable?

An independent variable is when you do not control what happens In an experiment, however; a dependent variable is when you actually control the experiment,

What is the difference between a variable being tested and a variable being controlled?

The difference between these both is that the control is what stays the same in an experiment and the variable is what changes.
